The Director of Talent Acquisition (TA) is a pivotal leadership role within the Talent Acquisition division, reporting directly to the Vice President of Talent Acquisition. This role is responsible for steering a diverse team of 10-15 exempt and nonexempt team members, including people leaders. The Director will oversee Talent Acquisition Operational teams, encompassing areas such as New Hire Pre-boarding, TA Reporting, Systems & Analytics, and Recruitment Marketing. The Director of Talent Acquisition will be a visionary leader who combines strategic thinking with operational excellence to drive the talent acquisition agenda forward. Job Responsibilities:
New Hire Pre-boarding
- Lead New Hire Pre-boarding with effectively managing all post-hire and pre-employment activities.
- Develop and implement innovative pre-boarding strategies to enhance the new hire experience.
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of New Hire Packets, including ADP policy dissemination and acknowledgment.
- Oversee the I-9 verification process, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and organizational policies.
- Direct the administration of pre-employment checks, including background checks, drug testing, and physical lift tests, ensuring they align with job requirements and organizational standards.
- Monitor and continuously improve pre-boarding processes based on feedback and metrics.
- Ensure compliance with legal and organizational policies during the pre-boarding phase.
- Strategize and oversee the pre-boarding process, ensuring a seamless and efficient transition from candidate acceptance to day one readiness.
- Innovate and improve pre-boarding processes for efficiency and effectiveness, utilizing technology and best practices.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring service quality and compliance in areas such as background screenings and drug testing.
- Develop metrics and reporting mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of pre-boarding activities and make data-driven improvements.
- Collaborate with HR and departmental leaders to continuously enhance the new hire experience, focusing on engagement and retention.
TA Reporting, Systems & Analytics
- Oversee the Talent Acquisition Reporting and Systems Managers, along with their teams, ensuring strategic alignment and operational efficiency in TA systems and analytics.
- Provide direction for all aspects of talent acquisition systems, including technical support, system optimization, and issue resolution, ensuring a robust and user-friendly recruitment technology platform.
- Drive the development and refinement of advanced talent acquisition reports and analytical dashboards, focusing on key recruitment metrics, hiring trends, and performance indicators to inform strategic decisions.
- Champion the use of data analysis to derive actionable insights, identify recruitment patterns, and recommend process enhancements, thereby contributing to the continuous improvement of recruitment strategies.
- Facilitate high-level collaborations with internal and external stakeholders, including IT, HRIS, and vendors, to ensure the seamless integration and functionality of talent acquisition systems.
- Lead the team in conducting regular system audits and data validation to maintain accuracy, consistency, and compliance with legal and organizational standards.
- Prioritize process enhancement and automation, identifying and implementing best practices to streamline recruitment operations, thereby enhancing overall efficiency and candidate experience.
- Uphold the highest standards of data integrity, privacy, and compliance within the Talent Acquisition function, ensuring alignment with data protection regulations and organizational policies.
- Partner with Vice President of TA, with strategic planning and present recommendations, shaping the future of talent acquisition through innovative use of systems, analytics and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and products.
Recruitment Marketing
- Partner closely with VP Talent Acquisition in developing innovative recruitment marketing strategies.
- Assisting with creating and supporting employer branding initiatives to attract top talent and create compelling recruitment campaigns.
- Collaborating and partnering successfully with Resort & Digital Marketing teams
- Utilize social media and digital platforms to enhance recruitment efforts.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of recruitment marketing strategies.
- Ensure alignment of recruitment marketing with the organization's values and goals.
Experience:
- 8+ years of previous management experience leading a team of TA professionals
- 8+ years of full cycle recruiting experience required
- 5+ years of experience leading TA Operational departments such as TA Reporting & Analytics, TA/HR Systems, and Recruitment Marketing.
- Experience recruiting for nonexempt high-volume positions as well as exempt and corporate roles to include executive level management
- Requires knowledge and advising on Talent Acquisition practices such as talent management, staffing, and workforce planning, attraction, branding, compensation, employee, and labor relations.
- Experience working with vendors that support onboarding activities such as drug testing, background checks and country related onboarding processes (i.e.: I-9 In the US)
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience.
