Job Title: Quality Technician Job Description We are seeking a temporary Quality/Electronics Technician to cover FTE leave for a 2-3 month assignment. This is a 100% onsite position located in Tualatin. The candidate must have an Associate's degree in electronics/electrical, which must be indicated on the resume. While this role is unlikely to go long-term with our client, Actalent will look to redeploy a successful consultant for continuous employment.
Responsibilities - Proceed with product quality controls at each stage of Manufacturing and Delivery according to Quality Management instructions.
- Produce quality measurements, potential diagnostics, and run contingency plans if needed.
- Realize quality control operations for products of medium complexity or equipment by choosing the appropriate tools.
- Ensure component conformity according to engineering drawings by managing incoming inspection and metrology activities inside the plant.
- Define and upgrade standard inspection protocols according to standard requirements and choose the right measurement equipment.
- Support defect analysis in the rework area and rework PCBAs as needed.
- Record and understand defect trends and propose solutions.
- Support the production line with quality issues by addressing andons, driving corrective and preventive actions, and escalating to the right stakeholders.
- Optimize inspection methodologies using Best Available Techniques and tools.
- Manage the calibration program of measurement equipment for the plant.
- Secure the nonconformity management process execution.
- Support the part qualification process (PPAP/FAIR).
Essential Skills - Experience with PCBA troubleshooting, including identifying electronic components and directional polarity.
- Comfortable with rework of PCBA, including soldering SMT and through-hole components.
- Ability to perform quality control operations using appropriate tools for medium complexity products or equipment.
- Experience in managing incoming inspection and metrology activities to ensure component conformity.
- Ability to define and upgrade standard inspection protocols.
- Skills in supporting defect analysis and rework of PCBAs.
- Capability to address quality issues, drive corrective and preventive actions, and escalate to the right stakeholders.
- Proficiency in optimizing inspection methodologies using best available techniques and tools.
- Experience in managing the calibration program of measurement equipment.
- Ability to secure the nonconformity management process execution.
- Knowledge of supporting the part qualification process (PPAP/FAIR).
Additional Qualifications - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with quality improvement tools, techniques, and models.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Associate's degree in electronics/electrical is mandatory.
Work Environment This position requires 100% onsite work at the facility, demanding in-person attendance 5 days a week, with a 40-hour workweek. The work environment involves managing quality control operations, supporting production lines, and performing rework activities. Employees are expected to adhere to safety protocols to ensure the safety of persons and property within the working area. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
