Average annual income ranging from $85,000-$115,000+Job type: Hourly pay, Full-time, Monday “ Friday, 40-65 hours per weekBenefits:Home every night 401(k) - after 1 year, company contributes 3%Health insurancePaid time off Profit sharing potential Estimator/Project Manager (Commercial) Job Summary:Ferguson Brothers Excavating is seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to manage and estimate commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in grading, excavating, and underground utilities, with a mix of estimating and project management experience. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team with a dynamic work environment offering competitive compensation. Estimator/Project Manager (Commercial) Responsibilities:Obtain plans for bidding and determine the scope of work.Identify and contact potential subcontractors.Perform accurate and timely quantity take-offs and estimates for grading and excavating projects.Write bid proposals for small to medium-sized excavating projects.Maintain current material and subcontractor pricing.Participate in plan and specification reviews.Effectively manage the bidding process.Provide upper management with reports on bids won/lost.Oversee multiple projects from start to finish.Create and manage schedules, manpower, pricing, vendors, and customers.Maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.Lead external and internal pre-construction meetings.Produce and regularly update project schedules.Negotiate change orders with clients and engineers.Report on anticipated change orders and projected costs for profitability forecasting. Estimator/Project Manager (Commercial) Requirements:2years of Project Management in commercial construction, ideally in excavating.Proven ability to read and understand take-offs, blueprints, and specifications.Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam, AGTEK, Timberline, Civil 3D, HCSS (HeavyBid & HeavyJob), and MS Project.Verifiable experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook.Experience in total site preparation, including grading, excavating, and other construction projects.Strong leadership skills with a positive, hardworking attitude.Excellent math and creative problem-solving abilities.High school diploma or GED required.Clean driving record and valid driver's license required.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Estimator/Project Manager (Commercial) /Preferences:Post-secondary education in construction or engineering-related disciplines is a plus.Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Associates or Trade School Certification or equivalent work experience preferred.
