PROMAN Staffing has partnered our client a leading manufacturer of custom urethane polymer parts to source and hire a process driven Plant Manager to join their facility in Western North Carolina.

DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY

As a hands-on Plant Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of a privately held manufacturing organization. This role will work with the owner to drive efficiency, oversee financial and operational performance, and champion a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a servant leadership mentality, be a change agent, and have the ability to motivate and align teams towards strategic objectives.

Plant Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop four tenured division managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Operations Management: Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations are met.
  • Process Improvement & Change Management: Identify opportunities for efficiency, implement best practices, and drive process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-effective strategies.
  • Vendor & Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers to ensure seamless operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • CNC Operations Knowledge: Utilize hands-on knowledge of CNC operations to guide manufacturing strategies and optimize production processes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams to align production with business goals, ensuring all departments are moving toward shared objectives.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to oversee operations, meet with vendors, or visit clients.

Plant Manager Qualifications & Skills:

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in operations, Manufacturing Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of CNC operations and machining processes.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Proven ability to be a champion of change, helping teams understand and embrace improvements that positively impact job functions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence and align teams.
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost management.
