Business Solutions Manager at Ultimate Staffing

Our hiring manager is looking for a highly skilled Service Manager to join their team in Livermore. This role is fully onsite and a permanent role.

Location: Livermore

Pay $100k/yr-$120k/yr.

A Service Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the service division, ensuring customer satisfaction, compliance, and efficient execution of all service contracts, inspections, and repairs. This role is responsible for pursuing new opportunities, maintaining current relationships, and leading service teams to deliver high-quality work in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development and Service Contracts
    • Pursue service contracts for properties installed by the company and for new properties that were not installed by the company.
    • Develop and execute a marketing plan to maximize opportunities with existing customers.
    • Reach out to property managers to market services such as inspections, alarm monitoring, and sprinkler/alarm system repairs.
    • Network with suppliers and vendors to generate leads for expanding the service division.
  • Customer Engagement
    • Respond promptly to incoming calls requesting inspections, repairs, or proposals.
    • Initiate and follow up on requests for services or proposals.
    • Ensure timely submission of reports and updates to customers after inspections or service calls.
    • Assist in the collection of receivables to maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Project and Operations Management
    • Maintain full awareness of the scope, specifications, and schedules for each service and inspection project.
    • Ensure compliance with all local AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) requirements.
    • Secure necessary permits and provide required notifications before beginning work.
    • Prepare material and equipment requisitions to support service work.
    • Ensure manpower is secured for completing dispatches successfully.
  • Team Leadership and Training
    • Direct and supervise Service Technicians and the Service Administrator.
    • Assist in training new or less experienced personnel to ensure team growth and competency.
    • Ensure that all necessary worker certifications and documentation are completed.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Plan and ensure all work is performed in a safe manner, adhering to corporate safety policies and programs.
    • Maintain required industry certifications, including NICET, Journeyman Sprinkler, and various panel manufacturer certifications.
    • Assist in implementing and enforcing safety programs and protocols.
  • Dispatch and Billing Management
    • Review the Dispatch Board daily to ensure completion of service calls and inspections.
    • Add labor and billing information to each dispatch to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
    • Ensure all completed work is billed to customers in a timely manner.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Ensure that the contract scope and specifications are being followed on all service projects.
    • Verify that all reports, inspections, and documentation are completed accurately and delivered to customers.
    • Monitor the quality of service work to maintain high standards and customer satisfaction.
