Job Description :

The Talent Acquisition Partner is vital in orchestrating recruiting strategies for leadership management roles for our unrivaled existing restaurants and our new restaurant openings across multiple locations and states.

The ideal candidate must be able to continuously manage multiple requisitions simultaneously, ensuring timely completion of hiring and adherence to Portillo's standards while demonstrating strong organizational ability, task prioritization, and communication skills.

The Talent Acquisition Partner would require a strong understanding of recruiting, sourcing, external job boards, scheduling, conducting phone screens, virtual interviews, extending job offers, and submitting background checks, along with a passion for finding the best talent. The Talent Acquisition Partner will also build sustainable relationships with internal Hiring Managers and Stake Holders. Must stay knowledgeable of Recruiting industry trends.

As a Talent Acquisition Partner at Portillo's, you will play a key role in driving the growth of our organization by building a strong talent pipeline, developing recruitment strategies, and collaborating closely with hiring managers to meet staffing needs.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with members of the talent acquisition team, field market managers, and field leaders to understand hiring needs.
  • Thoroughly communicate with field leaders and People Business Partners on the status of open positions, candidate quality, and candidate pipeline.
  • Partner with field leaders to provide a welcoming and positive candidate experience.
  • Collaborate with the compensation, onboarding, benefits, and marketing team to effectively recruit talent to Portillo's.
  • Conduct phone screens, interviews, and schedule candidates with Hiring Managers with a strong passion for people and our company through living our purpose and having a servant leader mentality, creating a great candidate experience.
  • Specialize in proactively sourcing qualified candidates utilizing various channels, including job boards, social media, industry contacts, and networking events.
  • Leverage critical thinking skills to identify candidates with the right qualifications, values, and competency for the position.
  • Manage applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure accuracy of organized documentation and time to fill metrics are being met.
  • Clearly communicate status on recruitment progress to key stakeholders.
  • Display an elevated level of discretion regarding compensation and background checks.
  • Provide the team, People Business Partners, and business leaders with relevant recruitment metrics to encourage data-driven decisions.
  • Post and monitor all sourcing advertisements for pipeline generation across recruitment platforms.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition.
  • ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS
  • Works closely with multiple branches of the People Team and field operation leaders.
  • Build sustainable relationships with Peers, Hiring Managers, and Stake Holders.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

    Educational Level/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Work Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • 2+ years of Recruitment or Talent Acquisition experience, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and best practices in hiring.
  • Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, and proficiency in using applicant tracking systems and recruitment software.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrates active listening, shares information concisely and purposefully, and remains open to different perspectives.
  • Travel Requirement

    15% Travel to Hiring Events or team events.

    Hybrid Office Experience – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in office. Monday/Friday may work remote.

    What's in it for you?

    Hot Dog! The pay range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000. Your actual compensation will depend on experience, location, and/or additional skills you bring to the table.
