Duties and Responsibilities- Certifies, fabricates, assembles, installs, alters, maintains and dismantles all piping and plumbing, including hangers and supports, and pipe cutting, bending and welding activities necessary to the performance of the task.
- Installs, maintains and repairs necessary piping on refrigeration equipment.
- Installs filters, seals and packing on airandrefrigeration equipment except compressors in the shop for rebuild.
- Certifies, installs, adjusts and maintains such items as gages, regulators, temperature control devices, recording instruments and flow meters pursuant to the task (excluding calibration).
- Installs insulation and covering on all piping and equipment as described above.
- May lubricate equipment when necessary in the performance of related tasks.
- Uses all tools and equipment pursuant to the task, including hand or power equipment to hoist and move personnel and materials except mobile cranes.
- May transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job site which are to be used by employees in the Pipefitter job classification.
- Performs related tasks as necessary in the completion of the employee's primary work assignment in the Pipefitter job classification.
- Works from prints, sketches, specifications, and written or oral instructions and does paperwork pursuant to the task.
- May have completed a Pipefitter apprenticeship or possess related experience.
You Must Have- US Citizenship, able to obtain and maintain US DOE Q level clearance
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work any shift
- Valid Driver's License
- Journeyman Pipefitter or Journeyman Plumber
- Three (3) yearsof pipe fitting experience including installation, modification, troubleshooting, and repair
We Value- Applicable technical or trade school training or Military work experience in filed service
- Experience working with Nitrogen, Compressed Air, Argon, Carbon Dioxide, High Pressure Water, and Hydraulic systems
- Experience with Cryovac, high vacuum detection and troubleshooting
- Experience insulating pipes and testing pressure relief devices with ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Experience in refrigeration systems, vacuum systems, and machine tool
- Preference will be given to applicants with pipefitting or plumbing experience in an Industrial environment.
