Salary: $16.00 Hourly Location : Huntley, IL Job Type: Seasonal Job Number: 00070 Department: Public Works Division: Streets Opening Date: 02/21/2025 Description The Village of Huntley is seeking applicants to work as temporary seasonal workers in the Public Works Department. This seasonal, full-time position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals to grow their knowledge of the Public Works field, develop professional skills, and build their resume. Examples of Duties The position requires physical labor which may involve, but is not limited to, maintenance of Village facilities and grounds, streets, sidewalks, traffic signs, and right-of-ways; landscaping or grounds maintenance; and other manual labor work assigned. The majority of the work will be performed outdoors with occasional indoor work. Qualifications - Must be 18 years of age, - Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, - Must possess a valid Illinois driver's license Applicants with strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills are highly desired; Supplemental InformationCompensation: The hourly rate of pay for this position is $16.00 per hour. Benefits are not included. Hours: Temporary, seasonal position beginning in May or early June lasting approximately three months. Forty (40) hours per week, Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Post Offer Requirements: Completion of a pre-employment physical and drug screen, along with a background check is required.
