Job Description :

International Chemical company is seeking a Logistics Manager who oversees the Logistics Department, managing both inbound and outbound logistics including import/export, domestic transportation, and storage, in addition to handling production planning and inventory management. The role is crucial in planning and executing logistics strategies in line with the broader company objectives and strategic policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Budgeting: Develop and implement the Master Plan and Budget; assess internal and external business environments; analyze market and customer data to align logistics strategies with corporate goals.
  • Operational Management: Manage day-to-day logistics operations including negotiating contracts with vendors and service providers, establishing new warehouses, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Inventory and Production Oversight: Oversee production planning for some products, manage inventory levels across various product lines, and handle vendor-managed inventory planning.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and evaluate logistics staff, ensuring effective training and development is in place to meet departmental goals. Manage staff schedules, performance, and development.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Maintain rigorous compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, manage reporting on inventory status, and oversee the financial effectiveness of the department.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized four-year college or university.
  • Experience: Minimum of four to ten years of related experience in logistics management.
  • Skills: Strong command of Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel; excellent communication skills in English; and the ability to effectively present information to various stakeholders.
  • Travel and Availability: Availability to travel and work beyond standard business hours as required.
