About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Compliance to take on a pivotal, newly established role. The successful candidate will be a dedicated compliance professional with a generalist approach, focusing on supporting the asset-based finance group. This role involves managing key compliance projects and initiatives, monitoring regulatory developments, and ensuring the firm's compliance with all relevant rules and regulations. The VP will also be responsible for drafting policies, responding to regulatory inquiries, and supporting various compliance processes, including KYC and conflict of interest management. Collaboration with senior and junior team members is essential to advance projects, support business growth, and act as a trusted advisor within the firm.Applicants for the VP of Compliance position should have a minimum of 7 years' of broad regulatory and compliance experience, with a preference for those with a background in private funds. Experience in asset-based finance or consumer finance is strongly desired. The ideal candidate will have a proactive mindset, be highly motivated, and demonstrate leadership with a team-first attitude. In-house experience at a private fund investment adviser, particularly in policy drafting and compliance testing, is a plus. The role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ongoing compliance training for employees and new hires is also part of the responsibilities.
