Department/Unit: Orthopedics & Spine Unit-M2

Work Shift: Weekend Night

Salary Range: $76,396.32 - $126,730.61

Are you an experienced RN seeking a part-time position with a focus on compassionate patient care? Join our Orthopedics & Spine Unit to provide exceptional nursing support to our patients over the weekend nights.

The Clinical Nurse plays a vital role in fostering a nurturing environment for patients, families, and colleagues. We appreciate the contributions of every team member, and your skills will be invaluable to our mission of excellence in patient care.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing physician orders, administering medications, and performing treatments and procedures according to established policies.
  • Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient conditions.
  • Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of patient needs and responses to care.
  • Providing emergency and primary care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administering medications as prescribed, including over-the-counter and prescription drugs.
  • Collaborating with the nursing team to develop and monitor individual Plans of Care for each patient.
  • Leading and directing ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a professional academic nursing program with a preference for a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.
  • Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and problem-solving techniques is highly desirable.

Hourly Range: $36.73 - $60.93
