Purchasing Associate

Our client, a leading food manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Purchasing Associate to join their team. In this exciting position, you will be responsible for the purchasing of all packaging materials. This is a great opportunity to be a key stakeholder in a growing company that invests in their employees.

What we are looking for you to do:

• Recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities
• Support new product launches and expansions
• Work closely with scheduling specialist to ensure customer expectations are met
• Negotiate contract terms and requirements
• Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels, and plan purchases accordingly
• Expedite shipments as needed
• Work with team to ensure accurate costs/pricing of raw ingredients and materials

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Experience in Food Manufacturing
• Min 2+ years of experience as a Buyer/Purchasing Associate or similar role
