Responsible for preparing and configuring molds and machinery for the injection molding process. Install molds in presses, in accordance with scheduling Perform daily inspections of assigned equipment. Clean molds on a weekly basis. Keep all mold records updated and filed. Perform insert changes and training on same.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mold changes by removing existing mold and installing new ones.
- Perform mold changeovers efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Install dies on machine according to work order specifications and production schedule.
- Setting up ancillary equipment related to the molding process.
- Locates, transports, installs, and stores injection molds according to established guidelines.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain molds and tooling after each production run.
- Perform routine machine on molds and machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mold setup, machine operation, and product quality.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in injection molding and mold set up.
- Basic industrial maintenance experience
- Must work well in a team environment
- Ability to be on feet, stoop, kneel, bend and climb.
