The Simulator Technician II position supports the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations Maintenance Program (ATMP) contract at Fort Cavazos, TX. This position primarily supports Aviation Trainers.

  • Performs routine tasks troubleshooting, replacing, and repairing military simulator components following detailed instructions.
  • Uses spare/repair parts to repair faults IAW technical guidelines.
  • Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.
  • Works under supervision of higher level technician.
  • Captures and records accurate and timely maintenance history ensuring that unique corrective measures for work orders and repair are annotated into the AWARE Management Information System (MIS).
  • Shares maintenance issues and general operations updates with senior technician.
  • Supports quality / ISO, security and safety training programs.
  • Safeguards all assigned equipment issued by PULAU Corporation against loss, theft, and damage.
  • Will be cross-trained to support other TADSS and may be assigned tasks to support other ATMP contract equipment on the installation.
Job Requirements
  • Three year's past experience with electronic equipment testing, troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Experience with UH-60A/L, AH-64 LCT, CH-47 TFPS and other related equipment is desired.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active SECRET Clearance.
  • Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to read and understand manufacturers' manuals and technical documents.
  • Must be able to acquire a Government Common Access Card (CAC) for access to other installations.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid driver's license and post driving privileges.
  • Must be able to work occasional shift, night, weekend, or holiday hours in support of military training.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
