Job Description:

We are looking to hire a Director-level Merger Arbitrage / Event Driven Analyst for the Equities Sales and Trading group within the Global Markets Division in New York at TD Securities.

Team Overview:

• The TDS Options/Merger Arbitrage desk focuses on alternative equity strategies for institutional clients. The team provides clients with market commentary, trade ideas, and liquidity to facilitate institutional investors.
• TDS is looking for a candidate with extensive experience in Merger Arbitrage and Event Driven situations.

Desired Experience:

• 8+ years in Merger Arb / Antitrust experience

General Job Description:

The Director Sales and Trading TDS develops the Banks Sales, Trading, & Underwritings in New York, ensuring positions are within approved limits while maintaining and enhancing the Banks profile and market share.

Depth & Scope:

• Liaises with the Banks other operations in New York to assist in meeting the Banks objectives
• Strict adherence personally and at a desk level to the firms procedures
• Fully informed on market data, economic information and key industry developments
• Develops and maintains contacts with market participants

Education & Experience:

• Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics.
• Series 7 and 63
• 7-10 years related experience

Physical Requirements:

• Domestic Travel: Occasional
• Performing sedentary work: Continuous
