Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) of Nassau County

We invite interested individuals to apply for the position of Executive Director for Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) of Nassau County. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to support an outstanding team of programmatic and operational professionals. CCE Nassau County offers a broad area of nonformal education in natural resources, energy and environment, youth development, horticulture, agriculture and food systems, and nutrition and health.

Nassau County, a richly diverse region, offers excellent quality of life with restaurants, parks, beaches, arts and culture, and proximity to the NYC metropolitan area.

This position offers a salary of $120,000 - $140,000/year, commensurate with experience. CCE offers a comprehensive benefits package upon employment and based on eligibility, to include but not limited to: New York State Health Insurance Program (NYSHIP), dental insurance, and New York State Employees' Retirement System (NYSERS).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree and minimum of 6 years experience in management and business acumen – specifically finance.

Experience with a multi-faceted organization while managing changing priorities.

Approachable/accessible leader for many stakeholders.

High-level support of programs and people: programs with notable involvement in education, positive youth development, and food systems.

OPTIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with regulations and liability issues a plus.

Familiarity with non-governmental organizations and how they interface with government agencies.
