We are looking for a Chief Mechanical Engineer to support our future growth.Do not pass up this chance, apply quickly if your experience and skills match what is in the following description.This position will be responsible for the mechanical engineering technical direction of incoming projects including but not limited to mechanical concepting, mechanical design, and commissioning of industrial mechanical systems for a wide range of custom assembly, test and material handling machines/systems.Interact with the Director of Mechanical Engineering to:Align goals and responsibilitiesIdentify department needs and review current programs/initiatives/continuous improvement goalsParticipate in interviewing potential new hiresProjectsParticipate in all project concept and design reviewsAssess projects technical requirements vs budget, schedule, scope of work, and resourcesAssist leads on red projects as neededFill-in for project leads as neededInteract with Team MembersMust communicate advanced engineering concepts from planning stagesProvide technical direction, training and mentoringWork with sales and application engineering departments to participate in risk analysis efforts Review and assist with the mechanical content of some estimates and proposalsRespected for technical ability amongst peers, other departments, corporate leadership, customers and suppliersUnderstand project financials and reportsRequirementsMinimum BS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology Minimum 10 years of Custom Automation experience- This is a requirementExpertise in mechanical design of industrial machinery and debug of machinesHands-on experience in setting up and running projects and teamsMinimum of 5 years in a lead, mgmt roleStrong understanding of technical concepts, risk planning, project budgeting, and estimate to completionRisk based PM experienceHands-on leadership capabilities
