FINANCE MANAGER ABOUT YOU: Are you a finance leader who thrives on driving strategic decision-making and process improvement? Do you enjoy collaborating with sales and business leaders to shape financial success? Jostens is looking for a Finance Manager to support our Scholastic Business Unit, overseeing financial planning, sales commission accounting, and strategic initiatives. In this role, youll not only analyze key financial metrics but also lead and develop a high-performing team of 2-3 direct reportsmaking a direct impact on our business growth and efficiency. YOU HAVE: Education & Experience. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with 6-8 years of related experience. Advanced Credentials. MBA, CPA, or CMA is a plus. Accounting & Compliance Knowledge. Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX, and accounting best practices. Technical Expertise. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook. Problem-Solving Skills. Ability to identify financial issues, recommend improvements, and execute solutions effectively. Analytical & Organizational Skills. Experience managing complex projects, meeting deadlines, and driving process enhancements. Strong Communication & Leadership. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and sales leadership while effectively presenting financial insights. People Management Experience. Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team. ERP & BI Tools Experience Preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Access, Tableau, SAP BPC, and Oracle financial applications. YOU WILL: Oversee Key Finance Projects. Manage various projects supporting the VP Finance, Decision Support, and Scholastic business unit leaders, including ad hoc reporting, process improvement, dashboard/metric reporting, and strategic modeling. Manage Sales Rep Accounting & Compliance. Oversee accounting and control functions related to Scholastic sales representatives, ensuring compliance with GAAP, SOX, and treasury policies. Support Sales Rep Financials. Maintain master data, contracts, and financial status for independent sales reps, ensuring accurate commission calculations and transition benefits per agreements. Drive Process Improvement. Identify opportunities for efficiency and implement improvements in financial operations and reporting. Develop Dashboards & Reports. Create and manage ad hoc reports, dashboards, and financial models to support decision-making. Ensure Regulatory Compliance. Maintain compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal financial policies while addressing various rep-related financial questions. Lead & Develop a Team. Manage and mentor 2-3 direct reports, fostering professional growth and performance excellence. Typical/expected % of overnight travel: Less than 10% LOVE WHERE YOU WORK: We care about your health. ALL ABOUT FINANCE: Our Finance team combines traditional financial planning, analysis and accounting with collaborative business decision-making and strategy, directly supporting leadership in Marketing, Sales, Digital & Operations. Team members are expected to analyze data and provide recommendations across our specialized products lines including Yearbooks, Class Rings, Graduation Products and Professional Sports. Through the utilization of best-in-class technical software, such as Workday Adaptive Planning, Incorta, SAP BPC, Oracle, Salesforce, & the Microsoft Suite, you will get to play a critical role in determining financial solutions that steer our business.
