This role includes managing patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and financial counseling to ensure a seamless and efficient patient experience.Essential Functions/Job DutiesThe Patient Access Director will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, interacting with patients, staff, and external stakeholders. Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities is essential.Directly supervise the patient access and scheduling teamRecruit, train, and evaluate staff performance, providing ongoing coaching and developmentDevelop and implement policies and procedures to optimize patient access processesEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and hospital policiesEnhance patient experience by streamlining scheduling, registration and admission processes to include a pre-registration programAddress and resolve patient concerns related to access and servicesOversee the financial aspects of patient access and scheduling, including patient estimates, upfront collections, and patient financial assistance programsStay abreast of industry trends and advancements in patient access and scheduling technologySkills & AbilitiesBachelors degree in healthcare administration, business administration, communications, or a related field; Experience in a healthcare setting may be substituted for educationMinimum of two (2) years of experience in a healthcare setting requiredPatient Access knowledge, office management or billing experience preferredAt NRHMP, we want to ensure your needs are met.
