CLO Virtual Fashion provides all clothing-related services from concept to design, manufacturing, marketing, fitting, and styling based on 3D clothing simulation algorithms.
Along with costume design software CLO, Marvelous Designer, and Jinny, we are involved in the entire costume journey with platforms specialized in costume content such as CLO-SET and CONNECT to build an efficient and sustainable workflow. Additionally, our solution allows physical and digital garments to be tagged together to function within the CLO system.
CLO Virtual Fashion, which is leading the global digital fashion market, currently has a total of 13 offices in 11 countries around the world, including Asia, North America, Europe, and South America, and is gradually expanding based on numerous customers from around the world.
Position Overview
Exciting opportunity to join the growing in-house legal team at CLO Virtual Fashion, a global tech company pioneering 3D garment simulation technology in the apparel industry and computer graphics industries (i.e. animation, game, VFX). Our legal team is a global yet close-knit group which consists of individuals with diverse cultural backgrounds.
We are looking for an attorney with sound legal and business judgment as well as eagerness to learn and collaborate who can thrive in our dynamic, agile and user-focused culture.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including but not limited to: software licensing and service agreements, partnership agreements, marketing agreements, NDAs, and DPAs.
- Advise on legal implications of business operations, including but not limited to: global expansion, adoption of new workflows, the legality of new product lines and services, employment, corporate governance, security and other matters for a fast-growing tech company.
- Draft, review, develop and implement internal policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including but not limited to: AI regulations, export control, data privacy/data protection laws.
- Collaborate with outside counsel as needed to manage litigation, regulatory compliance, and other legal matters.
- Work and collaborate with business development teams by supporting communications with external clients.
- Actively engage in communications with other internal stakeholders in an agile manner.
- Work and collaborate with international teams over multiple time zones.

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- New York or California bar admission in good standing.
- 2 to 4 years of post-qualification experience, preferably as in-house counsel at a tech company or at a law firm.
- A willingness to learn voraciously and take on new scope and challenges.
- Strong and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Sound judgment in developing and implementing legal solutions.
Plus if you have:
- Fluency in Korean or other languages.
- Experience in M&A, data privacy, software licensing, IP, litigation, or corporate finance, preferably in an international setting.
