Job Description :
Summary: The Project Scheduler is a partner with the Project Management Team. They are responsible for enabling and ensuring project predictability in the areas of schedule. They serve as a neutral consultant to the project, and work with the project manager and project controls lead, as well as key project contacts to provide support, project reporting, scheduling, financial planning, trending, change management, reconciliation and more. Will follow project controls practices as guided by the Project Controls Lead. This will include in-depth utilization of Microsoft Project (or Primavera 6), and Microsoft Excel as required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To provide project support by developing, maintaining, and reporting on project progress using Professional Project Scheduling Software (Microsoft Project, Primavera 6, Excel).
  • Develop cost and resource loaded schedules to effectively manage projects
  • Participate in schedule assurance reviews of cost estimates and interface with project teams to incorporate the results of these reviews
  • Provide input to monthly project reports
  • Conduct ongoing Earned Value Analysis
  • Provide Critical Path Reviews.
  • Present 60-day Look-Aheads to the project team.
Requirements:
  • Requires thorough knowledge of scheduling best practices, principles, and techniques acquired during a minimum of 5 years progressive experience in the Planning/Scheduling discipline.
  • Experience with resource loaded scheduling, earned value management, and cost control processes.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project / Primavera 6.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to ensure milestones are met.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional (operations, management, and financial) teams.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience
  • 2 years minimum of recent applied scheduling experience.
