Automotive Service Director – Multi-Franchise Dealer Group – Brooklyn, NY

A busy multi-franchise dealer group in Brooklyn, NY is looking for a dynamic Service Director to lead its service operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a process-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and efficiency. The service department is busy and the current director is transitioning to another role within the organization which is why the dealer is looking for a motivated Service Director who can manage the daily operations for continued success and future growth. Excellent long-term opportunity. It is important that this person is a clear communicator and actively works to develop and retain talent. The Service Director hired will be responsible for training Service Advisors on a daily basis, developing technicians from lube techs to master techs, and the like. It is important that this person sets clear policies and procedures for the department for continued accountability and success.

The Service Director will oversee service departments across multiple franchises, ensuring repairs and maintenance are completed efficiently and customer satisfaction remains high. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of growing service departments, retaining customers, and motivating their team to consistently improve performance. This role requires strong leadership, training, and organizational skills to take the service departments to the next level. It is important that this person understands the big picture, while also focusing on the day to day details to achieve their department's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, train, and oversee service teams across multiple brands, including technicians, service advisors, and support staff.
• Manage scheduling, repair workflows, and customer interactions to ensure a seamless service experience.
• Ensure repair orders are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Train and develop Service Advisors to effectively communicate repair needs and upsell necessary services.
• Oversee and maintain the loaner vehicle fleet to ensure proper scheduling and accountability.
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate orders as needed.
• Address customer concerns and ensure high customer retention and satisfaction.
• Monitor department budgets and analyze financial data to drive performance improvements.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and profitability.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of service operations, repairs, and customer interactions.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth dealership operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

• Compensation in the $200,000 - $300,000 range depending on experience, track record, and performance.
• Full benefits package will be provided
