CFS is working with a well-established and growing nonprofit organization, whose mission is to provide care for underserved communities. As the organization expands, they are seeking aSenior Accountantwho is eager to learn, grow and help drive their mission. This opportunity is in Jamaica, Queens and is onsite 5 days a week, located very close to public transportation. Our client offers a robust health benefits package as well as 4 weeks PTO.Responsibilities of Staff Accountant:-Prepare journal entries-Conduct analysis of receivables-Assist in Month End close activities, ensuring all expenses are recorded and posted correctly-Gain exposure to payroll and payables processes, and assist with those functions as needed-Collaborate with other departments to understand and support financial workflowsQualifications of Staff Accountant:- Bachelors Degree; Accounting, Finance or Economics a plus not a must-2+ years experience in accounting, any industry welcome-Experience with ERP systems( i.e. SageIntacct)and proficiency in Microsoft Excel-Excellent attention to detail and strong, collaborative analytical mind-set-An interest to listen, learn and grow#LI-SM1#INJAN2025#ZRCFS
