We seek a highly skilled professional with deep technical expertise, strategic insights, and a consultative approach to guide clients' long-term investment, business, and estate planning goals.

This role also includes a key educational component, requiring the training of advisors and support staff on critical issues. As an essential part of our value proposition, the Estate & Business Planning Specialist will also assist in reviewing estate and trust documents to ensure comprehensive client support.

This is a hybrid role, based in Boston, with opportunities for remote work. Candidates able to work from other Baystate Financial offices in the greater Boston area may be considered.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt, high-quality support on technical legal and tax matters.
  • Analyze and assess personal, estate, and business plans, offering strategic insights.
  • Collaborate with advisors and planning support teams to develop and refine case designs.
  • Develop and deliver presentations on sales strategies and tax-related topics.
  • Create compelling content for marketing materials.
  • Lead seminars for Baystate advisors, key influencers (such as CPAs and estate planning attorneys), and clients on relevant advanced market material.
  • Clearly communicate complex financial and tax strategies in a way that is easily understood by financial advisors, clients, and their legal and tax partners.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • J.D., CFP or post-graduate degree in Tax/Accounting/Finance
  • Experience with business entities, business liquidations, estate settlement, complex trusts, charitable planning and/or unique asset management
  • 5+ years in an advanced market's role or practicing attorney estate, business or tax background
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of insurance, annuities, and investments
