Job Description :

Rogers Behavioral Health, the area's leader in behavioral health services, is looking for a 1.0 Teacher (float) to join our WA location on day shifts. This position may need to float to other campuses.

The Teacher provides coordination between the child/adolescent inpatient units related to educational activities. She/He designs and implements consistent plans for the use of classroom time, based on the abilities of the population, interests and treatment objectives. The Teacher participates in treatment planning sessions, marketing and outreach activities, as well as department meetings.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of behavioral symptoms.
  • Knowledge of the most current teaching standard of current trends in education and mental health.
  • Current American Heart Association CPR certification or American Red Cross Professional Rescue is required at the time of hire. Ongoing re-certification is required.
  • Ongoing continuing education requirements.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Current State of Wisconsin teaching certification, with one (1) year's experience working with adolescents who have exceptional educational needs.
  • Must pass pre-employment background and drug screen.
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
