Our facilities are rated as a Best Nursing Home by US News and World Report.*NYC Health + Hospitals - Seaview* - 460 Brielle Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314 *(Staten Island)**Job Description** Assist with and provide physical care to residents according to established standard of performance.* Performs and records assigned procedure and nursing care activities completely and skillfully, such as, BP, TPR's, heights, weights, changing simple dressing, feeding and other related nursing duties.* Maintains the environmental conditions and practices to ensure comfort, safety, and security for resident's property.* Demonstrates safety awareness and follows protocol for fire, disaster, infection control and other environment of care practices.* Maintains knowledge and skills through participation in conferences and planning for patient care. Attends all mandatory classes.* Participates in performance improvement activities.* Demonstrates a sensitive and supportive attitude towards the resident, family, and/or significant others.* Assists in recreational and rehabilitation activities designed to meet the assessed needs of residents. Supervises residents during field trips.* Report observations of patients' and families' condition mental state and social behavior to medical and professional staff caring for patients and participates in the assessment and/or care of patients and families.*This position does NOT perform EKG.
