1:1 Teaching Assistant-Croydon - Tradewind Recruitment : Job Details

Tradewind is excited to be partnering with an Ofsted-rated "Outstanding" primary school located in Croydon, currently looking for a passionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a well-regarded two-form entry mainstream school committed to supporting students with a range of abilities, including those with communication and interaction challenges, as well as cognitive disorders.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with autism (ASD) and be confident in providing support within a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to an autistic pupil in either KS1 or KS2.
• Plan and deliver intervention sessions for SEN groups.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Follow and implement targets from pupils' EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans).
• Track and monitor pupil progress.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant.
• Strong understanding of supporting children with autism.
• An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks are required.
• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history, with explanations for any gaps.
• You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
