Job Vacancy: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (KS2 - Autism & Behavioural Needs)

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Key Stage 2 with Autism and behavioural needs at our inclusive and welcoming primary school.

• Provide individualised support for a child with Autism and behavioural challenges in KS2.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCo to implement tailored learning strategies.
• Assist in managing behaviour and supporting emotional regulation.
• Promote social and academic development through structured activities and positive reinforcement.
• Foster a calm, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

• Experience working with children with Autism and/or behavioural needs is highly desirable.
• Patience, strong communication skills, and a compassionate approach.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and effectively manage challenging situations.
• A flexible and proactive attitude, with a commitment to supporting the child's well-being and progress.
• Willingness to work closely within a team and follow the school's ethos of inclusion and care.

• Start Date: ASAP
• Hours: Full-time, term-time only
• Contract: Fixed-term with potential for extension
