1:1 Teaching Assistant - Welwyn

An Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' primary school are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and confident person to work alongside their experienced Learning Support, Pre-Prep and Lower School teams, working either in Nursery or Year 4 as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant.

Within the Welwyn based school, Support is required between 8:30am and 3:30pm5 days per week, term time only. Applicants with specialist experience and / or qualifications in the areas of Autism and Speech, Language and Communication Needs provision would be welcomed.

The ideal 1:1 Teaching Assistant will have:

• NVQ 3 in Childcare (or equivalent) or experience of working with SEMH as a TA on a 1:1 basis is essential.
• Experience working as a classroom Teaching Assistant or supporting pupils in EYFS on a 1:1 basis in is essential.
• Experience of working with children who have Autism or Speech, Language and Communication Needs is desirable.
• Training and/ or qualifications in Autism and Speech, Language and Communication Needs are desirable.
• Able to commute to Welwyn
