As the 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in the classroom, working closely with teachers to support children aged 5-11. You'll help create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to reach their potential. This role includes providing tailored support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and other disabilities.

Newbury - Primary

1:1 Teaching Assistant

Full time - Monday - Friday (08:30am - 3:15pm)

ADHD, ASD - SEN children

Key stage 1 and Key stage 2

£16,282.50 - £17,282.50 - pro-rata (£83.50 - £90 per day)

Key Responsibilities:

• 1:1 Teaching Assistant support KS1 - KS2 children in their learning, both individually and in small groups.
• Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for children with SEN.
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere in the classroom and during activities.
• Encourage social and emotional development, helping children build confidence.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to meet each West Berkshire child's unique needs.

Teaching Assistant Qualification:

• NVQ Level 3 Childcare or equivalent (preferred)
• NVQ Level 3 or Higher Level Teaching Assistant (preferred)
• GCSE Maths and English grade C/4 (required)
• UK Driving licence (preferred)
