Your new companyHays are recruiting on behalf of a Sefton primary school that is in need of a KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant to support one of their students with a complex medical condition as well as additional learning needs. The school, rated GOOD by Ofsted, has funding fixed from September 2024 for 1 year, to be reassessed in September 2025. The school benefits from a fantastic location and works hard to ensure that children are given lots of opportunities to appreciate their surroundings and to take responsibility for taking care of them. The school has a dedicated and highly skilled team of staff and a supportive parent community. Your new roleThe role will involve 1 to 1 support within the class under the guidance and direction of the class teacher. Each day, you will support the child with learning, activities and support with lunchtime supervision. You will ensure the child is kept safe at all times, whilst helping the child to reach their full potential. You will ensure the child is able to access the curriculum and ensure inclusivity with activities.
