2nd line Infrastructure Engineer

£45,000 - £50,000 + Overtime, Pension etc

Onsite in Birmingham

Our client, a business that has been going for over 60 years and is one of the largest names in hospitality is looking to hire a 2nd line Infrastructure Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity with a diverse business, where no two days will be the same.

General day to day duties in this 2nd line Infrastructure Engineer role include dealing with ticket escalations, supporting servers, switches, desktops, laptops etc as well as training the team.

As a 2nd line Infrastructure Engineer, the hiring manager is looking for someone with experience within a 2nd Line Infrastructure role with experience with technologies like Windows, Office 365, Active Directory/M365. It would be beneficial if you have some experience with migrations to cloud and experience with Cisco Switches & SAN. Experience with VMware, Dell servers and ERP Dynamics is also beneficial.

In this 2nd line Infrastructure Engineer role, you will have lots of project work to get involved with, so it is important that you have good analytical, problem-solving & communication skills. You will also be involved with some ERP support, where training will be provided.
