3D Designer - Pure 4 Recruitment Limited : Job Details

My client is on the lookout for an ambitious and creative 3D Designer to strengthen their design team, who is driven and proactive with a strong background in 3D modelling, sculpting, texturing, and rendering, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for bringing our innovative products to life, in an exciting and fast paced working environment.

Responsibilities of the 3D Designer:

• Responsible for creating high-quality 3D assets for various projects, including product designs and visualisations. (Animation would be beneficial but not necessary)
• Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software, such as Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, or similar tools.
• Proficient in industry standard CAD software such as Adobe CC.
• Strong understanding of lighting, shading, sculpting and rendering techniques is essential
• Develop textures, materials, and lighting setups.
• Ensure all 3D assets meet project specifications.
• Review and critique 3D assets to ensure quality standards.
• Prepare both 2D and 3D materials for effective concept presentations.
• Optimize 3D models for performance and quality.
• Create and maintain a library of 3D assets.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy in all 3D designs.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contributing to generating new creative ideas in designing new play experiences for new and existing brands and product lines.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and software.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Troubleshoot, technical issues related to software functionality, formatting and compatibility.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to understand their needs and objectives.
• Stay updated on the latest features and updates in 3D software to enhance design capabilities and efficiencies.
• Working collaboratively with a team of buyers, merchandisers and QC to develop prototype packs for sales pitches and customer showcases for new products.
• Use your creativity and expertise identifying trends within the market to produce commercial and trend-led designs.
• Understanding specific retailer requirements.
• Problem solving for any issues that arise internally for a solution before approaching the customer.
• Willingness to assist colleagues in other departments during peak times

• Ensure delivery of precise, clear, and complete product turnover specifications that are fully understood by our factories.

Requirements & What they are Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in 3D Design, Graphic Design, or related field.
• Portfolio showcasing previous 3D design work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in 3D modelling software such as Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Blender.
• Strong understanding of lighting, shading, sculpting and rendering techniques.
• Ability to 3d prepare artwork for manufacturing.
• Knowledge, understanding of 3d printers.
• Experience with texturing and material creation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills - confident speaking to internal and external customers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of animation is a plus but not necessary.
• Understanding of CAD software such Adobe cc suite.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
• Ability to craft and experiment under tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines whilst maintaining high quality standards.
• Adaptable and can work across multiple design projects whilst remaining flexible and keeping keen attention to detail.
• Capable of working on own brand and license brands and following guidelines whilst pushing the boundaries to achieve the best possible solution
• Understanding of basic Microsoft Office tools.
• Effective time management, able to quickly ascertain when to deep dive on projects or when to keep things light and explain your thinking to colleagues and managers
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic, consistently working hard and diligently.
