3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer Our trusted partner, a highly reputable corporation that provides services to thousands of customers within the UK, is hiring an 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer with strong capabilities in Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, SUSE), Microsoft desktop & server OS, and Networking Components (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN). This project-focused role is for an experienced professional who can resolve technical issues within a Linux-heavy environment. Our client is paying up to £55,000 + benefits with hybrid working situated in Kings Hill, Kent. You lead upon projects, acting as a final resolution to the service desk department within an interested environment, gaining exposure to desktop, server, cloud, and DC management of high availability and DR solutions. Role Responsibilities & Requirments:
- Infrastructure Management (Oversee the management of internal and hosted software platforms, Azure, 365, and Salesforce)
- System Optimisation (Develop & Implement System processes to enhance infrastructure performance)
- Project Involvement (Lead and participate in software & hardware deployment projects)
- Hardware Configuration and Installation (Configure, Install & Maintain Dell/HP server hardware)
- Network and Software Provisioning (Ensure seamless integration & performance of networking components)
Technical capabilities:
- Experience acting as a single point of contact for a broad range of technologies across Infrastructure, Networking, and Cloud within a SME.
- Strong & recent experience with Linux OS with experience of (Debian, Ubuntu, SUSE).
- Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
- A background in Microsoft Desktop and Server operating systems.
- Exposure to Azure/Office 365, MDM solutions, and VMware ESXi/ vSphere
- Certification in ITIL or VMware is welcome, but industry experience is preferred!
