Xact Placements have partnered with a successful Service Provider based in East London (Nr. Liverpool Street) who are looking for a 3rd Line Support Engineer.
Main Duties of the Role
- Providing support to clients on hosted and on premise IT systems
- Troubleshooting, finding faults, resolving issues and monitoring alerts
- Managing tickets in line with SLA’s
- Carrying out maintenance on desktops, servers & network devices
- Updating documentation when required
- Visiting customer side to provide onsite support
Your Skills and Experience
- Experience within a similar position, ideally within a MSP
- Vast troubleshooting experience and solving IT incidents
- Excellent networking knowledge
- Solid experience in: Windows Server, VMWare, Hyper-V and Office 365
- PowerShell scripting skills
- Good understanding of backups (such as Veeam)
- Competent in Windows and Linux environments
- Fortinet experience is desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good understanding of ITIL
Salary
- £42,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on experience
