3rd Line Support Engineer – Global brand – Oxford – Hybrid – 6 month contract – Inside IR35Rate: £350-400pd inside IR35 Inside IR35 - 6 months contract Oxford – Hybrid (3 days onsite) Overview:We are currently partnered with a Global brand who are looking for a highly skilled 3rd Line Support Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Modern Workplace solutions, particularly Microsoft Intune. You will play a critical role in providing advanced support, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving the adoption of modern workplace technologies.Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide 3rd line support for Modern Workplace technologies, including Intune
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues related to device management, security policies, application deployment, and user access
- Install, configure, and maintain devices to support lab equipment, and software applications within the laboratory
- Collaborate with scientists, researchers, and lab staff to understand their specific needs and recommend digital solutions
- Implement best practices to ensure the reliability and consistency of digital systems in the lab
- Assist in the design, configuration, and optimization of Microsoft Intune to ensure a seamless user experience
- Collaborate with 1st and 2nd line support teams to provide knowledge transfer and resolve complex incidents
- Implement and manage compliance and security policies in line with industry best practices
- Support Windows 10/11, macOS, iOS, and Android environments within the enterprise
- Assist in the rollout of new features and updates to Microsoft Modern Workplace solutions
- Provide documentation, training, and best practices for end-users and IT support teams
- Liaise with vendors and Microsoft support when required to resolve critical issues
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a 3rd line support role with a focus on Modern Workplace technologies
- Expertise in Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365
- Hands-on experience with device compliance, security baselines, and application packaging/deployment
- Proficiency in Windows 10/11, macOS
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management processes
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
