We have an exciting opportunity for a pro-active, dynamic and driven individual to join as a Business Development Manager for the UK Sheet Plant Division. This a key position within the business so looking for ambitious, customer focused individuals to come and be part of this amazing team!
Working across the Sheet Plants team and liaising with the other Sales Managers, you will play an integral part in achieving our ambitious growth aspiration. As a strong sales professional and a natural 'people-person', you will thrive on networking with existing and potential customers to bring in new business across the organisation. Your experience within B2B sales in packaging or allied industries, especially in the UK South West and/or South Wales area, will aid you in building strong working relations with various local customers as well as having the opportunity to offer the range to other DS Smith UK cluster groups.
This role will be home-based but there is a strong focus on travelling to meet customers and meeting teams at our sites in the South East Wales and South West region.
We would like you to develop a sales pipeline and deliver new business volumes across agreed targeted markets and geographical areas, using not only your own knowledge and business acumen, but also using our business intel and our experienced, focussed marketing team. We will support you as you grow, nurture and develop relationships with our existing customers.
Using all of our business tools and resources; especially the support of our Design and Innovation team, we can ensure we create value for our customers and continue to focus on the circular economy and our sustainability strategy.
