Location: Cardiff Salary: up to £45,000 per annum doeJob Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Role: As a Practice Accountant / Client Manager, you will play a key role in managing a varied portfolio of clients. This is a hands-on role that requires expertise in accounts preparation, audit, and taxation. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing financial statements and management accounts.
  • Leading and assisting in audits for clients across various industries.
  • Managing personal and corporation tax compliance, including preparation and submission of tax returns.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong and trusted relationships.
  • Providing clients with advice and guidance to support their financial goals.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff members.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

About You: We are looking for a proactive and client-focused individual with the following:

  • Qualifications: ACCA/ACA qualified / Studier or QBEs.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice, with exposure to accounts preparation, audit, and tax.
  • Skills: Strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple client relationships effectively.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
