Accountant - Workwell : Job Details

MUST BE BASED IN BARCELONA - SPAIN

We have a fantastic opportunity available to join our dynamic team in Barcelona. We are looking for a qualified Accountant with an ACCA or equivalent certification. This role is for a skilled and experienced Accountant who knows Spanish labour Laws and Payroll taxation.

Skills, Experience and Knowledge

• Working in conjunction with Finance departments (accounts paid & accounts receivable)
• Ability to communicate and coordinate with internal departments to complete various tasks within set timescales
• Daily use of the Microsoft Office suite for correspondence, document management and spreadsheets.
• Proficiency in MS Excel is a MUST
• You must have experience in ES audits
• Knowledge of interpreting data from an analytical perspective, with the ability to discuss findings when needed
• That you have worked in a payroll environment on a large scale

Essential Experience Required

• You must have knowledge and experience of Spanish Labour Laws and Taxation (3-5 yrs Exp)
• The ability to handle requests regarding taxation queries promptly following Spanish legislation
• You must have experience in Spanish Payroll (Taxation) (3-5 yrs Exp)
• The ability to process payrolls within specified timescales
• You must have experience in auditing processes following legislation
• Must follow guidelines to ensure quarterly audit checks by EU subsidiaries are in place for our local accountants
• You must have experience in the creation, process and electronic submission of all monthly, quarterly and annual declarations to Spanish Authorities:

Quarterly Forms (Modelos 111/216 IRPF, Modelo 303 IVA)

Monthly Form (Modelo 349 Operaciones intracomunitarias)

Annual Forms (Modelo 200 Impuesto de Sociedades, Modelo 190 IRPF, Modelo 347, Modelo 390 IVA)

• You must have experience/ knowledge of Gestor SII software or similar
• To have worked within an accountancy team within a Finance department, processing (approx. 400 invoices raised & 400 received), including internal costs invoices; full accounting cycle (declarations, payment allocation etc.)
• Ability to monitor and organise monthly documents to our EU subsidiaries to our local accountants whilst maintaining internal general accounting, payroll costs, expenses, sales, provisions, internal cost invoices etc.)
• Experience in Sage, SII
• MS Office Suites, Inc. MS Dynamics
• English/ Spanish professional, a high proficiency communication in English is a must for regular collaboration with EU accountants
