Group Reporting Accountant
- Job Type: Interim until December with a possible extension.
- Location: Redhill, parking on site and Hybrid working
- Hours: 37.5 per week, Hybrid working 2/3 days in the office per week.
- Pay rate: £23.08 per hour PAYE or £28.95 via an umbrella company.
We are currently seeking an experienced Group Reporting Accountant for an interim role with an immediate start. The primary focus will be on financial reporting, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in producing complex financial statements and reports. This position is perfect for someone who is meticulous, efficient, and capable of working under tight deadlines.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Prepare interim and annual reporting packs, including the production of annual reports.
- Produce complex accounts, annual reports, and financial statements such as Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss, Other Comprehensive Income, and Cash Flows.
- Ensure compliance with listed company reporting standards and IFRS.
- Develop financial reporting packs for group reporting purposes.
- Understand and articulate the relationships and flows of numbers between different accounts within financial statements.
- Handle group consolidation, including consolidation adjustments, non-controlling interests, and intercompany eliminations.
- Perform reconciliations of complicated accounts and manage intercompany matrices.
- Record accurate accounting journal entries and deal with audit adjustments as necessary.
- Work efficiently to process high volumes of data and maintain attention to detail.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the production of complex accounts and financial statements.
- Familiarity with listed company reporting and IFRS.
- Strong understanding of group consolidation processes.
- Proficient in Excel with skills in VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.
- Ability to perform reconciliations of complicated accounts.
- Experience in dealing with audit adjustments.
- Detail-oriented, meticulous, and highly efficient.
- Capable of performing under stressful conditions and tight deadlines, willing to work overtime to deliver results.
Due to the nature of the business, you will need to have s DBS in place before your assignment can begin (the client will process this for you).
