Job Description :

The Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements and reports, budgeting, payroll, billing activities and managing ledgers in the professional services industry. This role demands a team member who is detail-oriented, with excellent knowledge in accounting principles.

Description

  • Prepare financial statements and reports on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Manage and maintain the financial ledger.
  • Perform budgeting tasks and variance analyses.
  • Handle billing activities, including invoicing and account receivables.
  • Conduct payroll functions and ensure timely payments.
  • Comply with the industry's legal requirements and uphold the company's financial policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting procedures and refine budgeting processes.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits.

Profile

A successful Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting or a relevant field.
  • ACCA or ACA full certification
  • Proven experience as an Accountant in the professional services industry (must have been within the UK!)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (UK).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
