Seymour John is proud to working with a reputable business to hire an experienced Accountant.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Finance Director, where you will be managing to day to operations of the finance team. Key areas of responsibility to include:

• Overseeing transaction finance functions - authorise supplier payments and staff expenses
• Prepare and process journals
• Reconcile general ledger and control accounts
• Fixed asset register maintenance
• Monthly sales analysis in preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts
• Month and year end preparation and audit
• VAT returns
• Submitting data surveys for ONS
• Assist with preparation of financial data and reports
• Business partnering

Personal Profile

We are looking to speak to experienced accountants who are looking for a secure and role within a stable and profitable business. You will have previously worked in a similar role and used to overseeing the transactional finance function alongside supporting the Finance Director in day-to-day accounting activities.

Hours of Work / Benefits

• Weekly hours are 39.5. 8:30 till 5pm Monday - Thursday, finishing at 4:30 on Friday.
• Holiday starts at 25 days plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service.
