Accountant - APOINTE LIMITED : Job Details

*Accountant - Bracknell - Hybrid - Circa £36,000 + Study Support*

Apointe is seeking a proactive and dependable accountant to join a dynamic accounting department. Our client is a leading global distributor of network, security and electrical solutions. They are seeking someone with good analytical skills to take ownership of the EMEA intercompany accounts. The individual will work closely with other Intercompany accountants, business partners and key stakeholders to deliver clean Intercompany accounts.

Main responsibilities/Key goals:

• Reconciling Intercompany Balances, investigating & resolving variances.
• Matching Payments & Receipts to invoices.
• Implement a harmonised IC process with other regions within the company.
• Work with Treasury to ensure Intercompany relationships meet reporting requirements.

Tools and equipment used:

• Microsoft packages.
• Oracle ERP.
• Smartview / Essbase management reporting system.

Qualifications/education required

• We are looking for an accountant who is actively studying CIMA/ACCA/AAT with Intercompany experience.

Preferable skills, knowledge, and experience

• We require someone who is quick at learning new things (processes, software) and not afraid to ask questions.
• At least one year of experience in an Intercompany accountancy role.
• Experience with account reconciliations.
• Good accounting knowledge expected - Financial statements, variance analysis.
• Good MS Office skills, particularly Excel, is essential. Experience using lookups and pivot tables required
• Knowledge of MS Access is helpful.
