Accountant - TN Recruits : Job Details

Are you an experienced Accountant looking to supplement their work with some additional hours each week?Do you have a background in Accounts and Tax with experience of preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns?  Do you enjoy working from home? If so then my client has an excellent – and rare – opportunity for you. Reporting into the Director of this award winning and certified accountants, you will play a key role in managing client relationships and reviewing year end accounts. You will regularly speak with clients to advise and guide them in all areas of accounts and tax. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Oversee and coordinate outsourced teams in preparing client accounts, CT600s, sole trader accounts, and self-assessment tax returns. 
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of accounts produced, conducting reviews and providing feedback to outsourced teams. 
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, offering guidance, building rapport, and maintaining strong client relationships. 
• Ensure timely delivery of completed accounts and tax returns, meeting all deadlines and compliance requirements.

About you:

• Proven experience in preparing small company accounts, corporation tax returns, sole trader accounts, and self assessment tax returns. 
• Experience managing or overseeing outsourced teams or processes, with strong organisational skills. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build client trust and provide clear, concise advice.
•  Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, accounting standards, and tax requirements. 
• Proficiency with cloud accounting software (ideally Xero) and adaptability to various systems. 
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently to deliver high-quality service.

Although our client is happy for this role to be remote, the suitable candidate will need to be able to get to clients in the Crowborough and Tunbridge Wells area, when needed.
