Accountant - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new companyInternational, professional services business are looking for an accountant to replace someone in the team due to an international promotion. Your new roleThis role sits in their main EMEA hub here in Bristol, reporting into a Finance Manager. The role will contribute to month-end, close processes and ensure they are run in an efficient and effective manner. Key aspects of the role will include:

• Preparation of journals for month-end, financial close to the agreed month-end timetable.
• Preparation of accounting processes such as intercompany, fixed assets, balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare reviews of the P&L to ensure accuracy of the numbers.
• Maintain the integrity of balance sheets and any queries are escalated to the financial controls team.
• Support process improvement, maintaining a best in class finance function
• Review and monitor the quality and speed of work produced by the offshore team.

What you'll need to succeedWe are looking for a qualified, or part-qualified accountant who has ideally worked in medium to large-sized businesses. You should have good MS Office and Excel systems skills, and it would be beneficial if you used Oracle. What you'll get in returnThe role offers hybrid working with 3 days required on site each week.
