We are looking for an experienced Accountant who thrives in a vibrant work environment filled with laughter and hard work. This role requires handling both corporate and individual client portfolios, including complex international accounts.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Allocate entries into accounting systems and check entries made by automated feeds to ensure accurate completion of accounts and tax returns.
- Process payroll for some clients.
- Prepare VAT returns using automated systems.
- Prepare periodic management accounts using Quickbooks Online or Xero.
- Prepare annual statutory accounts using in-house software.
- File self-assessment and corporation tax returns.
- Provide advisory work on main UK taxes for UK individuals and companies.
- Assist in international tax matters, including preparation and supporting senior staff.
- Perform company secretarial work, including maintaining company registers and issuing dividend vouchers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in public practice accountancy.
- Proven practical experience with Quickbooks Online and Xero.
- Strong knowledge of UK tax matters, including VAT returns, payroll processing, self-assessment tax returns, and the preparation and filing of UK Limited Company accounts and CT returns.
- Experience in handling international tax and accounting affairs.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
