Accountant - Robert Half : Job Details

Robert Half is thrilled to partner with a well-established brand in Bristol, recruiting for an Interim Accountant.

This role will take ownership of cashflow reporting, statutory reporting and drive financial controls. This role is a key partner to internal finance teams, external auditors, and business stakeholders, ensuring accurate and insightful financial reporting. . Duration: 15-month FTC

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum

Hybrid: 1-2 days onsite, 3 remote

Key Responsibilities:

• Review month-end close journals and conduct detailed general ledger analysis.
• Oversee financial statement preparation in compliance with IFRS and support external audits.
• Maintain strong financial controls, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Lead the preparation and ownership of monthly divisional cashflow reports.
• Drive continuous improvements in financial reporting, statutory accounting, and internal controls.
• Provide business continuity support for lead accountants when required.
• Collaborate with finance business partners, corporate accounting, and external auditors to enhance reporting processes.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Strong track record in cashflow reporting, statutory accounting, and financial controls.
• Knowledge of IFRS and financial statement preparation.
• Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills to engage cross-functionally with finance and operations teams.
• Strong planning and organisational abilities to meet tight reporting deadlines.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
