Description

The key responsibilities of the Accountant include:

• Managing the day-to-day finances - from purchase/sales ledger to reconciliations
• Producing monthly management accounts, P&L, and cash flow reports
• Producing WIP reports on ongoing jobs and projects
• Supporting job costing & cost-saving strategies to improve margins
• Handling VAT returns, payroll, and liaising with external accountants
• Working on Sage 50 to maintain accurate financial records

Profile

The successful Accountant will:

• Have experience in a similar role
• Have a very flexible approach to work
• Posess the ability to work in a fast-paced SME business
• Have experience running a small finance function
• Work effectively with senior leadership
• Keen eye for detail and number efficient
• High level of Excel and experience of Sage 50
• Be AAT Level qualified - Minimum requirement
