Accountant - IPS Group : Job Details

Incredible opportunity for an Accountant to join a growing remote firm.This role will give you the opportunity to build a great career, working with a variety of clients and gain more responsibility as you progress.As an Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Provide regular support and training to some junior members of the team.
• Maintaining clients’ financial records through regular bookkeeping and bank reconciliation using the accounting system, Xero.
• Mostly work with larger, more complex, and new clients.
• Supporting the Management Accountant with the collation of accounting records for month-end and year-end reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports and year end accounts.
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns.
• Managing and preparing monthly payroll for clients.
• Supporting the supplier payment runs for clients.

To qualify for this Accountant role, ideally you should meet the following:

• AAT qualified and studying towards ACA/ACCA
• Have a minimum of 2+ years’ experience working as an Accountant, with an understanding of bookkeeping and financial record-keeping.
• Keen to continue building your bookkeeping skills.
• Experience with Xero would be beneficial.
