Hays are recruiting for a dynamic SME business who are looking for a skilled and dedicated Temporary Accountant to join their team. This role offers the flexibility of full or part-time hours, making it ideal for individuals seeking a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Payroll Management: Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
• Invoicing: Generate and manage invoices, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
• Reconciliations: Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Management Accounts Preparation: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, providing valuable insights to support business decisions.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in accounting, preferably within an SME environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage Line 50 and Sage Payroll).
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills.
